Archery “Any Deer” Option Removed from Website

PIERRE, S.D. – Game, Fish and Parks has removed the “any deer” archery license option from their online application system, advising archers to purchase the “any antlerless” archery deer license at a reduced rate.

            “Although the archery deer season is open through Jan. 31, and hunters could purchase the ‘any deer’ license and shoot an antlerless deer, it makes little sense to offer this tag when the archery antlerless deer option provides the same opportunity at a reduced fee,” said GFP License Office Supervisor Scott Simpson.

            To purchase an archery antlerless deer license, hunters should visit the GFP homepage at www.sdgfp.info, hold their cursor over the subheading “Licenses and Reservations” then click on the link to “Apply for Limited Issue Licenses.”
