PIERRE, S.D. - Some East River deer units open this Saturday, Nov. 19, but hunters with tags in sixteen southeast South Dakota counties should note the season opens Nov. 26 instead.

"Some tags from the 2nd East River deer drawing were misprinted," said Arden Petersen, regional supervisor for the S.D. Department of Game, Fish and Parks. "Hunters holding tags in a number of counties may not hunt until Nov. 26, no matter what the tag says."

The counties with misprinted tags include:

• Bon Homme,
• Brookings,
• Clay,
• Davison,
• Hanson,
• Hutchinson,
• Lake,
• Lincoln,
• McCook,
• Miner,
• Minnehaha,
• Moody,
• Sanborn,
• Turner,
• Union,
• Yankton.
