GFP Seeks Input For Mountain Lion Management
RAPID CITY, S.D. -- The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks will be holding a series of public meetings across the state to solicit input regarding mountain lion management in South Dakota.
"Game, Fish and Parks is developing a Comprehensive Mountain Lion Management Plan for South Dakota," said Regional Supervisor Mike Kintigh of Rapid City. He noted that the Mountain Lion Management Plan can be viewed at www.sdgfp.info/Wildlife/MountainLions/MtLionIndex.htm after April 11th.
Part of the process for developing the Comprehensive Mountain Lion Management Plan for South Dakota involves taking public comment. Individuals that are unable to attend the public meetings are encouraged to visit the web site and provide comments directly on the web page. Comments can also be submitted by writing to: Mountain Lion Plan Comments, Game, Fish and Parks, 523 East Capitol Ave., Pierre, S.D. 57501.
Meetings are planned for across the state to take public input on this proposal. Listed below are the dates, times, and locations for the first four.
