South Dakota Travel Trailer Give Away Rules
Contest hosts are the SD Division of Parks and Recreation and the South Dakota Recreation Vehicle Dealers' Association (SD RVDA)
No purchase necessary to win. South Dakota Travel Trailer Give Away (“Sweepstakes”) is open to all individuals who meet the age requirement written under “Eligibility.” Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. The South Dakota Travel Trailer Give Away begins on May 1, 2008 and eligible entries must be received by midnight CDT, on October 1, 2008. (“Sweepstakes Period”). Sweepstakes is hosted by the South Dakota Division of Parks and Recreation, 523 E. Capitol, Pierre, SD 57501 (“Host”) and the South Dakota Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (SD RVDA), P.O. Box 91613, Sioux Falls, SD 57109-1613 (“Sponsor”). Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to all persons age 21 and older as of May 1, 2008, who have a valid driver’s license. Employees, officers, and directors of Host or of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, their immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.Conditions of Participation: No purchase necessary. Enter Sweepstakes in either of these two methods:
- Complete a SD State Park Comment Card and check the box indicating that you want to enter the contest and have your name/address/work and home phone numbers and age information given to the South Dakota Recreational Vehicle Dealers' Association. Send the completed prepaid, self-addressed Comment Card to the SD Division of Parks and Recreation.
- Send a postcard to Camper Give Away, South Dakota Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association, P.O. Box 91613, Sioux Falls, SD 57109-1613. Include name/address/work and home phone numbers and birth date (mm, dd, yyyy).
One entry per person per week is allowed. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and the Host. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Neither Host nor Sponsor is responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, postage due or misdirected entries, or incomplete or garbled handwritten or typed communications that might limit the consumer’s ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. Host and/or Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes or disqualify a participant if fraud or technical failures destroy the Sweepstakes as determined by the Host and Sponsor.Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes permission to the Host and the Sponsor to use participant’s name and contact information for marketing purposes.Prize: One selected winner will receive from the Sponsor a brand new travel recreational vehicle travel trailer with an average retail value of $17,000 – 20,000. Examples of prize RVs can be seen on www.sdrvda.org. Winner will be notified by October 15, 2008. Prize must be claimed by October 25, 2008. If the winner does not claim the prize for whatever reason or refuses the prize, an alternate winner will be picked.No alternative prize, cash, or other substitution is permitted. Prize is not transferable. All federal, state, provincial, and/or local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.Selection of Winner: Winner will be determined by random drawing from all eligible entries received, to be held after the end of the Sweepstakes Period, midnight, October 1, 2008. All decisions are final and binding. The number of eligible entries received will determine the odds of winning. Winner will be notified by mail and/or telephone and/or email by October 15, 2008. Winner will have until October 25, 2008, to accept the prize by U.S. mail. Time will be extended if initial winner does not claim or refuses the prize and a second drawing takes place. Neither Host nor Sponsor is responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winner or for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts of winner to claim prize.Winner will be required to sign and return a waiver of liability and indemnification. If selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize, or fails to timely return the completed and executed declaration and releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.Winner is required to pick up the travel trailer at the winner’s expense. Neither the Host nor the Sponsor will deliver the travel trailer to the winner.Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Host and the Sponsor to use winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately undermine in any way the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of civil and criminal laws. Should such an attempt be made, such entrant or individual shall be disqualified and Host and/or Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any such individual to the full extent of the law.
Winner List and Official Rules: To obtain a copy of information about the winner or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: the South Dakota Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association, P.O. Box 91613, Sioux Falls, SD 57109-1613. Requests must be received no later than November 15, 2008.
