2nd Annual Bison Internet Auction Results

Custer State Park's 2nd annual Internet Auction was held at www.DVAcountry.com

Bids were accepted for five days beginning on January 7th and ending January 11th, 2008

$23,710 for the bull calves (35 head in 6 lots of 5 and 5 single animal lots) or an average of to be $677 (and 43 cents). That is up almost 10% over the live auction. Heifers (30 head in 5 lots of 5 and 5 singles) brought $14,355 or an average of $478 (and 50 cents). That is within $5 of what we had at the live auction. We had 3 buyers, but most went to one buyer. Looks like we had 18 bidders registered, 3 were active on the bulls and 4 on the heifers. There were a total of 6 separate bidders active.

35 head of bull calves sold for total of $20,620.00 or $589.14 per head

30 head of heifer calves sold for total of $12,535.00 or $417.83 per head.

The bison sold to 4 different buyers
