Dust Buster

Purpose: To provide routine cleaning and inventory of specified areas at The Outdoor Campus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Dust library and other specified areas of The Outdoor Campus facility.
• Clean windows in predetermined areas.
• Clean classroom tables, counters and blackboards.
• Clean volunteer room and closet.
• Take inventory of cleaning supplies, food for cardinal & blue jay, nightcrawlers, birdseed and kitchen supplies.
• Vacuum cracks in gallery floor.
• Clean kitchen area.
• Clean museum.

Requirements/Skills:

• Enjoy cleaning and keeping things looking nice.
• Able to take inventories and keep accurate records of supplies needed.
• Capable of standing on ladder to wash windows or dust certain areas.
• Self disciplined to work independently on various tasks.
• Able to follow directions, especially in museum where precautions need to be taken in order to preserve and not scratch the displays.

Training Required:

• Volunteer Orientation.
• Special training/instructions will be given to acquaint the volunteer with the information they will need to know.

Time Commitment:

• A minimum of one assignment per month. May work more frequently.
• Times are somewhat variable and flexible. Depends on the cleaning assignment you select.
