Game, Fish and Parks is creating an outdoor education facility and regional office in Rapid City. The purpose of the facility is to provide outdoor education experiences to youth and adults throughout western South Dakota and to serve as the headquarters for the Wildlife Division staff of the western South Dakota region. The site is located on Sturgis Road, past West Chicago Street, on the way to Black Hawk. Project progress: we will be releasing the project for bids on November 16, 2009. Construction is expected to start in January 2010, with completion predicted for April 2011. Keep checking back as we post more photos and information during this process!
