South Dakota STEP OUTSIDE©
Information Introduced in 2005, South Dakota’s STEP OUTSIDE© program has provided hundreds of youth their initial opportunity to experience outdoor recreational activities. 18 events over the last three years, hosted by various communities, has made STEP OUTSIDE© the premier introductory event to the shooting sports in South Dakota. STEP OUTSIDE© events offer hands on instruction for newcomers in the shooting sports, hunting, archery, fishing and other outdoor recreational events. The approach is designed to make these family friendly activities that parents and children can both enjoy. If your community is interested in hosting a STEP OUTSIDE© program, contact the coordinator listed below. Coordinators will be able to help you plan your event as well as provide materials to conduct you program. South Dakota contact: Dates and locations for 2008 will be listed as they become available.
