As of 1996, the State Legislature revised the State’s bed and breakfast law. This revision allowed additional flexibility within the lodging industry. As a result, three categories of lodging establishments were created. These new categories were created to better suit the needs of these expanding industries.
Along with the new categories arose the need to identify health and safety guidelines specific to each type of establishment. These health and safety guidelines were incorporated into rules, which help ensure that each lodging establishment would protect the health and safety of the traveling public. These rules set an industry standard for uniformity in operations and encourage quality assurance within the industry.
If you have any questions regarding the licensing of food, lodging, or campgrounds in conjunction with your shooting preserve operation, please contact the Office of Health Protection at the address or phone number listed above.
