Upcoming Bowhunter Education Courses Education: All big game archery licensees 11 through 15 years of age, all first-time archery big game licensees regardless of age, and all archery elk licensees must possess a National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) certificate or certification of completion from a bowhunter education course approved by any state or provincial government. Information is subject to change, so check regularly. Aberdeen: An instructor class--for new instructors only--will be held from noon to 4 p.m. June 21 at the Whitetail Bowmen Indoor Range, 321 N. Main, Aberdeen. Anyone who wants to pre-register or has questions about the class can contact Jim Twamley at 297-3906. Custer: Top Pin Archery will hold a National Bowhunter Education Foundation class on May 24 at its indoor range. The FREE, one day, class will start at 8 a.m. and end around 5 p.m. The class is required for all big game archery licensees 11 through 15 years of age, all first-time archery big game licensees regardless of age, and all archery elk licensees must possess a NBEF certificate of completion from a bowhunter education course approved by any state or provincial government. Fort Meade: The Fort Meade recreation area will be the site of a field day for students who took the Bowhunter course online. Signs will be posted to direct students to the location. The field day will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 12. For more information, contact Jim Twamley at 297-3906 Hot Springs: A Bowhunter course will be held in Hot Springs at the high school on May 20, 21 and 22 starting at 6:30 p.m. each night. The contact person for registration is Jim Dahlberg, 745-5650. Mitchell: A Bowhunter class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the conference room at Cabela's. To pre-register, or for more information, call Tom Norwick, (605) 996-0337, ext. 8539 Pierre: Spring and summer Bowhunter classes are planned in Pierre. They will take place on Saturday, March 29, and Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Izaak Walton League clubhouse. On Aug. 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. the outdoor learning session for students who took the online course will also be held at the Izaak Walton League Clubhouse. Rapid City:
A Bowhunter class is planned
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Buckhorn Archery, 10
miles south of Rapid City on Sheridan Lake Road. For more

Sioux Falls:
Nine Bowhunter classes are planned at the Outdoor
Campus in 2008. All classes take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are
held for one day only. Pre-registration is required. Contact Keith Miller at

are all held on Saturdays. Class dates include March 8, April 12, May
10, June 14, July 12, Aug. 9, Aug. 23, Sept. 13 and Sept. 27.
Advanced classes for those who want more hands-on experience are
scheduled to be held near Hudson, S.D. The one-day classes run from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. and are set for May 24, June 28, July 26 and Aug. 16.

Bowhunter education course will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9 in Sioux
