Choose Fort Sisseton Historic State Park for your next
gathering. Let the restored buildings and spacious grounds of the late
19th-century frontier fort be the setting for your event. With rental
facilities, overnight accommodations and a variety of outdoor recreation
opportunities, it will be an event you’ll never forget.
The rich history of Fort Sisseton stretches back to
its founding in 1864. For the 25 years that followed, soldiers served
and lived at the fort, protecting and ensuring the peaceful settlement
of Dakota Territory. This frontier legacy lives on in the Fort Sisseton
of today. Fourteen original buildings, preserved and restored, take
visitors back to another place and time. Not only is Fort Sisseton a top
site for learning about frontier and military life, the brick buildings
and spacious grounds also play host to events of every occasion and
size.
Facilities at the fort can accommodate everything from
small meetings to large elegant weddings. Others have selected the fort
to host their reunions, birthday parties, anniversaries, business
retreats and other special gatherings.
We hope that you will consider
Fort Sisseton for your next special
event. Your entire group will enjoy a wonderful time in this unique and
exciting historic setting!
