Passport Kit

We have one Passport to Fishing and Boating kit available for loan. The kit has all of the equipment you'll need to hold a fishing or boating event (minus the fishing rods; see below). The kit has supplies, information, scripts, instructions and more for 6 educational stations:

Fish Habitat and Handling
Boat Smart, Boat Safe
Fishing Knots and Rigging
Casting
Ready, Set, Boat
Local Information

The kit is available to borrow free of charge, but we do require a $75 deposit on the intact return of the kit. Contact Chad Tussing at (605) 773-2541 for more information.

Fishing Kits

Want to take your class, scout group, or community group fishing? We have four loaner fishing kits, plus one ice fishing kit, available for you to use. The kits are available to borrow free of charge, but we do require a $75 deposit on the intact return of the kit. Each kit contains enough fishing rods, reels, and tackle for 15 people. Kits can be checked out for up to 2 weeks. Contact Chad Tussing at (605) 773-2541 for more information.

We have aquatic education exhibits and programs at The Outdoor Campus, Cleghorn Springs Fish Hatchery, Blue Dog Fish Hatchery, and McNenny Fish Hatchery. The Whitlocks Bay Spawning Station is also open for visits in the fall. Feel free to stop by for a visit sometime!
