October 19, 2009 - Public Hunting Maps Updated
The maps have been updated since September 2009 and will have over 5000 acres more walk in areas  recently added  that are not on the 2009 Hunting Atlas or previous versions of the GPS maps.

September 16, 2009 - All Public Hunting Maps Updated
We have updated the maps for all units to include all current public hunting opportunities for the 2009 Hunting seasons!

The South Dakota Game Fish and ParksDepartment is celebrating our 100 anniversary in 2009. Our message has been consistent over the century, “Serving People, Managing Wildlife”, but our way to effectively deliver that message has seen drastic change.

This public lands mapping system is a great example of how we are constantly striving to get information into the hands of sportsmen and women. This useful tool should provide a better, more accurate and more effective map for your outdoor adventures.
